    The one in the middle is the odd one out because it uses Arabic numerals whereas the other two clocks use Roman numerals .

    Kayla is right because VIII is 40 minutes and in an hour there are 60. minutes . To get from 40 minutes to the next hour you have to add 20. As it is 20 to 4 . Caleb is wrong because IV equal to 20 minutes and it’s not 20 past four , it’s 20 to 4 .

    Seth an hour and 10 minutes to tidy his room. First of all I converted 1 hour and 10 minutes , to minutes which gave me 70 minutes. Then I totalled all the time it took for Seth to tidy his room so I added 25+5+35 which equals 65. I then did Seth‘s total time to tidy his room take away the time spent , so I did 70-65 which equals five . Therefore Seth has five minutes left.

    First of all I worked out how long it takes Miley to do her homework. She says it takes her 3/4 of an hour to do her homework then add five minutes. So I worked out 1/4 of an hour by dividing 60 by 4 which gave me 15. I then times 15 x 3 to get 45. Finally I added 5 to 45 which gave me a total of 50.

    Then I worked out how long it took Ezra to do his homework. He said it took him three lots of 10 minutes to do his homework. So I times 10 x 3 to get 30.

    Thus , Miley took more time than Ezra to do her homework.

It said it took 25 minutes to moving is toys so 70 – 25 is 45. Then it says 5 minutes making his bed so you need to subtract 45 and take away 5 from it , that is 40.
    Finally it says it to 35 minutes to putting his clothes away so 40 subtract by 35 is 5 minutes.

    1. The hour hand could be pointing to 12 minutes to 12 because if it looked like 11 minutes to 12 it would be closer like right about just there but a tiny bit more.

    I know this because a quarter of an hour is 15 minutes. 3 quarters of an hour are 45 minutes. The sum is 15 + 15 + 15 = 45, you can also use the sum 15 x 3. She took an extra 5 minutes to finish, so the sum is 45 + 5 = 50.

    Whereas, Ezra took a total of 30 minutes to do his homework. I know this because three lots of ten minutes are thirty minutes. The sum is either 3 x 10 or 10 + 10 + 10, which equals 30. There is another addition sentence, which is 10 + 20 = 30.

    For the first picture, the hour hand could be on any number, as it won’t make a difference to the minute hand.

    Whereas, for the second picture, the minute hand would be resting on the 6, making the time half past 3.
