    Above this is the canopy, where most trees stop growing and where up to 90 percent of rainforest creatures can be found.

    Dense means that the trees are really close together. So, the canopy is full of trees all squished together, and only a few big trees stick out above them.

    1. The forest floor is very hot and humid and little grows there whereas the canopy is very sunny and its where most trees stop growing.
    2. The forest floor is covered in a thin layer of fallen leaves which rot away quickly whereas the canopy is rich in fruit and seeds and they can be as high as 30 metres off the ground.

    Because the forest floor is very hot and humid and little grows there and it gets less than two percent of the sun’s light.
