    The first seaside was Scarborough.
    The seasides were popular when trains started in 1840.
    Bathing machines were for Victorian people so they didnt show their bodies.

    I dont agree because there was no arcades in the old days or funfair rides like the big wheel and i love that! and I can take my bucket and spade or I can buy a new one from the shop! and there is a train that I went on now. There was no doughnuts or rock in the old days either and i think they just took sandwiches and had a picnic. So i think going to the seaside is more fun now than the olden days.

    I think seasides are better now because I really enjoy the funfair and fish and chips, and this is more fun for all the people. It is also good to play on the beach with friends and family and not have to stay in a bathing machine.

    No i dont think thats fair because only the rich people could afford to go not the poor. However these days everyone should be able to go to the seaside freely so you can spend lots of enjoyable time with your friends and family also you can create great memories there.

    Day trips and holidays by the sea became very popular during the Victorian age. Railways and trains were much more common and people could travel longer distances more easily. … People believed the air at the seaside was much cleaner and that paddling in the sea was good for their health.
