Spanish Pen pals!

This year we have been doing some exciting things as part of our Spanish learning!

In the winter months KS2 got to send Christmas cards to Zamora, Spain! The children in Spain also sent us Christmas cards and told us all about themselves.

In the Spring term we wrote back to the children and they have now received these letters! We are now eagerly awaiting their responses!

Here is our writing journey so far:

We have been writing to children in Zamora, Spain who attend the ‘Little by Little English School’. Our Spanish student Nerea who visited us last year works at this school. Here are the pictures of the staff and the school.

If you were to write a letter to someone in a different country, what would you tell them? What questions would you ask them?

    If I were to write a letter to another country I would talk about how the schools are like if the schools are fun and if I didn’t know what the times of break and lunch were I would ask how long are the break and lunchtimes and then I would ask how the weather would be like is it hot cold or in the middle.Then I would ask what can you do in your free time like playing football or like if they play football or other sports (Basketball,hockey etc.)I would also write like what ages would you have to go to school.

    In England I live in an area called Coventry .In this city I go to school. But I also live in this city .The temperature in England is Average in the early moths of the year but very cold in the winter. At school we do many subjects that I enjoy (not all). In England we have democracy and Human rights .What about you ?
