Remembrance Service Friday 8th November – Year 5 School Councillors

Year 5 School Councillors will be representing Broad Heath Primary School at a memorial service at the Peace Garden on Livingstone Road, this Friday (8th November).

The children will be walking to the venue and will take part in reading poems about peace and remembrance, along with three other schools.

This is a great opportunity for our school to share our own values and to come together with other school community members to celebrate and remember how people gives their service to countries all around the world.

Please ensure your child has a waterproof/warm coat, and are wearing sensible shoes. All children are expected to be in their school uniform. Drinks and a biscuit will be provided after the ceremony before returning to school.

Please note, this is not a religious event, and no child will be asked to pray or to wear poppies, unless they wish to do so.

Mr Andrews and Anita will be attending and the children will be out of school for around 1 hour, returning ready for their lunchtime.
