Hi Year 5,

This half term  we have been learning about the Victorians in topic.  We would like you to use your inference skills to interpret some pictures of Queen Victoria. Some of you will also need to complete a researching task as part of your reading challenge. ALL RESEARCH MUST BE WRITTEN IN YOUR OWN WORDS! Answer the questions in full and present your information in full sentences.

    In the picture, this can give us information by showing us her expression, which she looks very serious, which is not a surprise because she was a very strict and scary queen. This picture can give us knowledge of how she looked and behaved, by the way she is looking at the camera. Information says that she was a very strict and vigorous queen. And she was a very powerful queen which meant she had alot of work. She wore black because her husband, Albert died.

    Queen Victoria looks very aggressive since her husband had died after her husband died she wore black for the rest of her life. She was worried about her children because she thinks she will pass her disease to them.Queen Victoria was a strict and horrible queen I predict she might have executed any person who killed somebody.

    By looking at the images of Queen Victoria she’s looking very sad and aggressive. Her hobbies were to sing, drawing and painting .She became Empress of India in 1877. After Queen Elizabeth II, Victoria is the second-longest reigning British monarch. Victoria’s reign saw great cultural expansion; advances in industry, science and communications; and the building of railways and the London Underground.
    Victoria was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death in 1901.Queen Victoria of England, who ruled from 1837-1901, is believed to have been the carrier of hemophilia B, or factor IX deficiency. She passed the trait on to three of her nine children.

    In these pictures Queen Victoria does not smile she looks deep depression and sad since her husband Prince Albert died in 1761 she worn black dresses. Has being a Queen in 1871 she wore a crown to show people she is the queen in these picture taken in 1882. Queen Victoria was a richest women in the world and she had lot of jewellery and crowns what she wore. In 1837 she was Queen Victoria of the united kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from june 1837.
