Hola! Last academic year we were very lucky to write and receive letters from a Spanish school and every child ‘gained’ from this experience.
We were also very lucky to have our Spanish Student to record readings of Spanish Story books that she had gifted to the school. We all enjoyed hearing these stories and used our language detective skills to detect what the stories were about.
In our final term of the year 2023, we also got to interview Nerea who works in the Spanish school we were writing to. She is a teacher there. We all enjoyed this interaction in KS2!
Last week, I was given the opportunity to be interviewed by the children from Spain. I was interviewed by a class of children and they asked me a range of questions. They tried really hard in Spanish!
As a thank you for all the lovely activities we have been able to do with this school throughout the year, I recorded 3 classic English stories for the children in Spain, for them to enjoy just like we did. I thought I would share these with all of you as well.
Which story do you think the Spanish children will enjoy and why?
Why is it important to have International links and partnerships?
