Yes they are because I have experienced my Sats just a couple of days ago they may sound stressing however I personally think this is the only way for our future teachers to track our record and to make our learning/education as fun and special they can make it.

I think yesterday SATs are important because it sees how well you have been and wich stage you are going to be in your next school.
SATs test how good you have learnt over the years.
This is my opinion because my brother had just finished his SATs and he is really enthusiastic in passing.
SATs sound stressful but when you are doing you SATs it feels like you are going to pass.

I believe that there shouldn’t be SATs because throughout the year we do many tests and the work that is set by our teachers is reflective of where we’re at. Also, SATs causes a lot of stress and it could negatively affect your self-esteem.

No- At such a young age children can get stressed and feel unnecessary. This can affect a child’s mental wellbeing.
Also SATs only assess core subjects. However we feel that some children are talented in other areas of the curriculum. This can lower a child’s self esteem.

Yes- Secondary schools are aware of your strengths and weaknesses. They are then able to support you accordingly.
It also prepares you for future tests and exams such as GCSEs.

Most of 4 Blue agree that SATs are good because:
    – It shows what you remember from learning in primary school
    – It prepares you for secondary school and helps new schools know what class you should be in
    – It shows who was paying attention in school
    – It shows how much progress you have made since the Year 2 SATs and all through school
    – Teachers can see who can apply their learning in new or different ways

    Here is 1 Red’s thoughts;
Bavisun in 1R thinks if we all do the same thing we cant be different.
Amelia thinks SATs are good because the teachers gets to see what the children have learnt.
Shreya – I think they are good because your teacher can see how hard you are working.

5red were very mixed in their opinions.
Yes – It’s helps the secondary schools put you into sets
    – it allows you to see all you’ve learnt in primary school
    – you can get help in the places you need it.

No – it is too stressful
    – what if your having a bad week, you may not do well even if you have the knowledge
    – some secondary schools ignore them
    – makes your mental health bad if you don’t do well.

I think SATS are good because they will test you on everything you have learnt . Another good thing about it is to see if you remember about your learning and if you pass in them.

It’s good because you learn about all the things you have revisions on you have learnt in ks2 years and put all of your learning in a test which depend on your sets in secondary school

Yes because SATS chooses your position in secondary school if you have high or low position.
But sometimes it can be a no because you might get nervous and not try your best .
