I used to play with walking hors. Yes, I used to play with different toys. There has been many changes to the toys ie technology got cheaper, super heroes came into being more frequently. Dinah
I had a cry baby when I was younger.
It was a bit similar but it wasn’t many toys as yours.
I have still 1 toy from my childhood but not play.

Toys have evolved significantly from my childhood to today, driven by advancements in technology and changes in how children play.
When I was a child, I didn’t have a ‘favourite’ toy as such, but the toys I did have were often physical and interactive, such as Tamagotchis, babies and soft toys. These toys encouraged imaginative play and social interaction, often centered around collectibility and physical play.
Today, many toys integrate digital technology, with smart devices, interactive robots, and augmented reality games replacing traditional playthings. Tablets, video games, and app-based toys have become more dominant, offering immersive experiences that blend the physical and digital worlds. While the core focus of toys remains entertainment, the shift toward screen-based and connected play reflects broader changes in technology, children’s interests, and how they engage with the world around them.
To be honest, I don’t even remember having a favorite toy. I grew up at home, in the yard we had a lot of animals that we played with, from dogs and cats to a small animal farm of goats, cows, sheep. we had all kinds of animals raised in our yard. we spent our time outside playing with the children football, tennis games for children, nowadays the favorite toys for children are the phones, the children no longer play with each other, they no longer communicate with each other, they keep their eyes on the phones, computers. in my time there were not so many toys, today there were less but they were appreciated by children, but nowadays children get bored very quickly with a toy because they have the opportunity to choose a new toy all the time.
Thank you for your comment. This is very interesting and will open up a fantastic discussion amongst the children next Monday.
My elders played with a lot of toys.
Toys were very innovative and unique before, whereas nowadays toys are not as creative.
Toys used to be very sturdy and would last a long time, whereas nowadays, toys are made of different material and tend to break easily.
Toys were interesting to play with, they’d grab your attention for a longer period of time, whereas nowadays, toys only keep children interested for a brief period of time.
Before toys were educational, fun and enjoyable.
Toys nowadays are all linked to a new Netflix or YouTube show. Children are less interested in toys as a whole, they’d prefer more screen time.
Thank you for your comment :)
