This week has been a busy week. As well as performing our leavers play and enjoying our Graduation, we have been busy learning all about the Olympics.
We have learnt about the history of the Olympics and then had a focus on what we can expect from Paris in a few weeks time.
We also studied the value of friendship and reflected on the unlikely friendship amongst challenging times between Jesse Owens and Luz Long.
Furthermore, we studied the art work by Hannah Wilkinson and replicated some of her work.
Finally, each of the classes studied an individual sport. 6Red looked at Rafael Nadal and Tennis. 6White studied Ian Thorpe and Swimming, while 6Blue looked at Chen Meng and Table Tennis.
On top of all that, we finished the week with our final primary school sports day!
What a busy week! Who says schools wind down in their last week?
Thanks for a good one, Year 6!
