2W ~ Using expression and intonation

In English today, 2W worked in pairs, using intonation and expression to read an extract of ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’. 🦊

Children used fluency to read at a steady pace, looking at the use of punctuation such as question marks and exclamation marks.

They worked on changing their voices, when using intonation and sounded out words in the text. This involved using values such as teamwork, communication and brilliance. They also reflected on character emotions, attitudes and emphasis when reading.
